2024 Weaving Studio Payment Plan

  • Three day class, $250.00 
  • Two day class, $200.00
  • One day class, $100.00

Beginning Weaving: Design and set-up a 4 shaft floor loom to weave a scarf, wall piece, or table runner. No experience necessary. Three day class, $250.00.

Rigid Heddle Loom Weaving: Learn to weave on the 15″ Schacht Cricket Rigid Heddle loom. In a two day class the weaver will set up the loom and weave off a project to take home. $200.00.

Rag Rug Weaving: We use up-cycled T-shirts for this process. The weaver can use their own T-shirts or use materials from the weaving studio. Three day class. Some experience helpful but not necessary. $250.00.

Inkle and Band Weaving class. One day class, $100.00, all tools and materials included. Learn to set up an Inkle loom to weave decorative and functional narrow bands. 

Drafting and Design Class: For the nearly new up to the advanced weaver who wants to understand the structure of weaving. One to two day class, ($100 to $200). Includes graph paper, colored pencils, design books, etc.

Rya Rug Knotting: Rya knotting is an ancient technique used by nomadic Scandinavians as protection against the cold winters. The class will use a handwoven backing to sew in Rya knots.  The process needs no loom and is portable. The class can be a half day or full day session, ($100.00 or $150.00). Includes all materials necessary to complete a 12″ square piece. No experience necessary.

Other Studio Fees:

  • $25.00 per hour for consulting fee.
  • $120.00 per month. Open Studio fee for any weaver who has already taken a weaving class at the studio. It gives the person unlimited studio time and access to looms. Must provide own weaving yarn. The studio has a limited supply of weaving fiber that can be used and paid for by calculating the total weight of studio yarn used used for a project.
  • Sewing and hemming woven goods, $12.50 per hour.
  • House calls, (includes home loom set up and off site weaving consultation). $25.00 per hour, (includes transportation to and from the location).
