Kitchen towels never go out of style and you can give them away for holiday gifts.
Weave beautiful, one of a kind kitchen towels. The looms will be setup to weave on. There will be several design options to choose from; (Turned Taquéte, Huck, Twill, and Bumberet). Cotton, Cotton/linen, and Tencel fiber will be used in any color the studio has on hand. You can generally weave a towel off in a one day session, (10 a.m to 3:30 p.m.). A flat fee of $55.00 per towel will be charged, (woven at 19″ to 20″ wide x 30″ long – before washing) this includes the time and materials. Some weaving experience necessary. Contact Gretchen if interested, 508-221-3992.
October 15 – 17, November 20 – 22, December 11 – 13. For new weavers and those who seek a refresher class.
Participants will design a project (scarf, wall hanging, or table runner), select yarns, wind a warp, “dress” a 4 shaft floor loom, and weave the project. Weavers will learn the vocabulary of weaving and develop a better understanding of the process. The 3 day workshop ($225.00) includes use of the studio’s equipment, yarn, and space. The days run from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (with a break at mid-day for a snack or lunch).
Contact the weaving studio if none of the class sessions fit your schedule and we will work out a private class that works better for you.
