Beginning Weaving, Summer 2018

Beginning Weaving; June 19 – 21, July 17 – 19, August 14 – 16.

A weaving essentials class open to all weavers but is geared for people newer to weaving.  Participants will learn how to draw out a design, set-up a loom, weave, and finish a project.  We will focus on the design potential of color and texture, while making a sound piece of cloth.  Participants will develop a better understanding of what makes a good piece of cloth based on the desired function of the piece (scarf, table runner, or decorative wall piece).   The class runs for three consecutive days, for $225.  Price includes instruction, use of studio equipment, yarns, and materials.  Participants are welcome to bring their own yarn and looms if desired.  Contact Gretchen to sign up for a class, romeytanzer@comcast.net.
